Bitcoin tumbles over exchange-closure fears

Bitcoin resumed its slide yesterday, dipping below $14,000 as the cryptocurrency’s dizzying drop from a record set 10 days ago intensified.
The latest blow to the world’s biggest cryptocurrency came from South Korea, where the government said it was eyeing options for stamping out a frenzy of speculation, including a potential shutdown of at least some exchanges.
Bitcoin fell as much as 9 percent to $13,828 overnight, erasing modest gains after the South Korean release, composite Bloomberg pricing shows. The cryptocurrency fluctuated near $14,000 as of 9:20 a.m. in New York. It’s now down 28 percent from the record $19,511 it reached on Dec. 18.
Bitcoin’s plunge comes after futures contracts started trading on CME Group’s exchange, giving investors new ways to bet on the digital coin’s price moves. The news from South Korea unnerved traders because the country has been ground zero  for a global surge in interest in bitcoin as its rally this year reached 1,600 percent, prompting the nation’s prime minister to worry over the impact on Korean youth.

APC: Why they want me out –Oyegun

National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief John Odigie-Oyegun has revealed why he is being persecuted in the party.
Oyegun said he is being persecuted because of his loyalty to the present administration led by Muhammadu Buhari.
He disclosed this in Benin City, yesterday, at an event organised by the Benin National Congress, ( BNC), to honour his selfless and leadership style over the years.
“I grew up in an environment where bringing disgrace to the family is the worst thing you can possibly do; even the family will be the first to disown you.
“So, in all my life, this is the circumstance that has conditioned me. I do not do things that will not make  me sleep soundly at night. I do nothing that will appear as headline in any of the national dailies.
“Yes, I have been through several trials, but, I have overcome them all.
“Why have I done so? Because, at the end of the day, whether detailed or forensic examination, you will not find that your own Oyegun has done something dishonorable. And so, with all the hue and cry, at  the end of the whole thing, when we sit down, and ask, ‘tell us what he has done?’ Behold, the whole situation fizzled out.
“The only thing you can punish him for is loyalty. Edo people are loyal. We look at something, we make sacrifices to ensure that those hands are upheld and neat.”
Oyegun, however, called on Nigerians to be patient with the present administration in delivering the right and purposeful leadership for the country and noted that change  takes time, in consistence of applications and that Nigerians cannot afford to  go back to the old days.
In his welcome address, BNC President, Mr. Aiyemenkhue Edokpolo, said when the country was facing series of frightening existential challenges by ethnic groups, when President Muhammadu Buhari was away on medical trip, Chief Oyegun took epistemic steps to preserve the sanctity of the Presidency; protected the interest of Nigeria as one and indivisible country; and defended the founding values of his party- the APC.
Edokpolo said as a distinguished Bini man and humble son of Edo State, who has made landmarks in civil service and party politics, Oyegun deserves the honour, hence, the acceptance by the Binis to honour him as a role model.

A mother's love is unconditional.
Hao Lina, a police officer in China, has melted the hearts of millions after breastfeeding the four-month-old baby of a suspect.
The infant's mother was attending a trial and could not nurse her crying child. She had given permission to Ms Hao before letting her baby be fed.
The touching incident took place on September 23 at the Shanxi Jinzhong Intermediate People's Court in central China.
The baby's mother was charged with fraudulent fund-raising, illegally absorbing public deposit and crime concealment with 33 other people, according to the court.
Ms Hao, a mother herself, said the baby had been left under her and her colleagues' care before its mother went for the trial.
'The baby wouldn't stop crying and we were all worried,' said Ms Hao.
'I am a new mother, I could feel how anxious the child's mother would have been. All I thought about was to try my best and comfort the tiny baby.'

After gaining the permission of the baby's mother, Ms Hao found a quiet corner in the building and breastfed the baby.
The baby's gender has not been revealed.
The scene was captured by one of Ms Hao's colleagues.
The pictures were posted by the court to its official website and social media account before being featured in various Chinese publications.
According to the court, the baby's mother, surnamed Li, was so touched by Ms Hao's behaviour she couldn't help but cry after leaving the court.
Commenting on the praises she had received from the public, a humble Ms Hao said: 'I believe every police officer would do the same. If I had been the mother, I would have hoped someone to help my baby too.'

Is YOUR vagina saying yes? Sex expert claims her VERY unconventional methods can help women.

Is YOUR vagina saying yes? Sex expert claims her VERY unconventional methods can help women seduce any man they want

A sex expert has made it her mission to give women more confidence in the bedroom - by unlocking what she calls their 'p***y power'.
Danish-born Louise Mazanti has creat that claims to show how women can seduce any man they want in just an hour.
Her most important tip for unlocking the 'power' she describes is to 'listen to your vagina' about the sexual experience you want from your chosen suitor.
The London-based relationship expert, who advises couples on the upcoming Channel 5 show Make or Break, also tells women not to try to recreate porn videos, but rather focus on enjoying real sex.
Here, Mazanti breaks down some of her tips to help you unlock your 'p***y power' in the bedroom.

1. Ask yourself: 'What do I really want?'
Louise says that before anything else, women should think about whether they really want to be with the man they're trying to seduce, whether he is the right man for them, and if they really want to have sex.
'Men are very good at being fast in their minds and strong willed and women tend to be a bit more floaty, not knowing what she wants and a bit more compromising,' she explains.
2. Check in with your vagina: Is she saying 'yes' or 'no'?
Louise says: 'A woman really needs to know what's right for her and her way of checking that is feeling what's going on with her body. What does her body want?
'Not what her mind is telling her is the best thing, not what would her partner like from her – what does she want? She can feel that way when she feels into her vagina.'
3. If she's saying: 'Yes, bring him on!' proceed to point 4. If 'Vagina says no', forget about it
'Women have forgotten to listen to their vaginas and put up the boundaries that their vaginas are speaking,' Louise says.
'When her vagina says yes, go with it, when her vagina says no go with it. That keeps the vagina happy.'

Neymar left Barca out of respect for Messi – father

Neymar Sr says his son made the world record €222m move from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain out of respect for the Blaugrana talisman, Leo Messi.
The 25-year-old Neymar Jr last week moved to the Ligue 1 side on a five-year deal reportedly worth €600,000 (£540,000) per week after tax.
Though many analysts have opined that the Brazillian left the Nou Camp for the money, his father claimed his son left because he did not want to challenge the status of Messi out of respect for his teammate.
Speaking in a COPE report, Neymar Sr said, “Imagine a place where you are the protagonist of a club, where you are the idol of that club and everyone wants to transform you into the star that you do not want to be.
“Messi is the star and will always be the star. Not only because of the love and respect that Neymar has for Leo, he is his idol. Imagine that everyone said that Neymar has to be Messi’s substitute, he does not want to be his substitute. You have to leave Messi, he is the idol at Barcelona.
“Neymar has to make his own way and accept the challenge he has. I think my son has been a man, shown respect [to Messi] and now he has to go his own way. He could go to any club and be in the spotlight, not that he wants to be number one.
“He is taking a risk. Can PSG guarantee him the Ballon d’Or? No. And it is crazy that people believe that. It would be easier at Barca, with the help of that team.”

Father donned lipstick and pretended to be a woman to trap a Nigerian conman

Father donned lipstick and pretended to be a woman to trap a Nigerian conman and then outed him on Facebook when he asked for cash to fly to UK

A conman was forced to beg for forgiveness after a prankster father dressed up in drag to pretend to be a vulnerable woman and then exposed his scam online.
David Walker, 39, asked his daughter to put make-up on him and created a fake Facebook profile named 'Julian Le Flange' to lure online predators after a family friend was conned into handing over thousands of pounds in an online romance.
The father-of-two was soon approached by a 'religious pastor' from Nigeria who quickly declared his love for Julian before asking for $900 (£690) so that he could get a flight to the UK.
However Mr Walker took advantage of the scammer's eagerness to get his hands on the cash by luring him into a hilarious exchange that ended with the father sending a photo of his daughter's toys labelled as the 'Western Union shop'.
But he was subsequently banned by Facebook for 'breaching the firm's anti-bullying policy'.

After Mr Walker posted the images of their conversation online, the self-declared religious pastor was bombarded with hundreds of prank messages from other Facebook users and ended up begging him to tell people to stop harassing him.
Mr Walker, from Newcastle, said: 'I was inspired to start doing this because I have a good friend whose mother unfortunately fell victim to one of these scammers and she lost thousands of pounds.
'Unfortunately lots of people do get stitched up by these conmen. She was very embarrassed about what happened and it had a very negative effect on her. My friend really likes what I'm doing and is supportive of it.
'I roped in my daughter to put some make-up on me for the photo as Julian. I can't say I enjoyed it but she certainly found it funny to make her dad look silly.
'It did the trick though as people think it's a woman.

'To lure them in, I just go on my Facebook as Julian and use the account to comment on popular stories on news articles. Soon enough these conmen start contacting you as they see you active.
'I always report them to Facebook but often there's nothing they can do because they've not yet committed a crime.
'Instead I often get banned. I've had my account suspended around five times. I think it's because I post private conversations without the other party's consent.
'The man mistook me for a woman and was trying to romance me in a confidence trick to get money on the pretence of a flight over to the UK - but of course he would never turn up.
'Once I shared the pictures on my Facebook of how I had strung him along for so long he then started getting loads of messages from everyone giving him lots of abuse.
'He then came back to me demanding I tell everyone to stop messaging him. He got to the point where he was very angry indeed and he did everything from rant and rage to grovel. He was begging me to get people to stop harassing him, it was hilarious.
'However I didn't want to help him, hopefully now he will think twice about doing it again.
'It is nice to see him get a taste of his own medicine. He was eventually forced to delete his account.'
Mr Walker has exposed dozens of the conmen with his pranks and has developed a reputation among his friends for his online antics.
In June last year, he hit the headlines with a similar prank in which he got revenge on a con-artist by pretending to go along with their dodgy 'business venture' over dozens of hilarious messages and even persuaded him to agree to a dinner DATE.
Mr Walker said: 'Anyone who falls victim to these conmen would lose their money but they would also suffer the embarrassment of having fallen for something like this. They could also be heartbroken. It really can have a terrible effect on someone.
'I hope that by doing it some of them might get put off from doing it if I cause them enough hassle.
'Lots of people have been messaging me, praising what I'm doing and saying they are going to start doing it too, so it seems I'm having an effect.
'I will carry on doing this and exposing more scammers. If it just puts off one person, it's worth it.
'My daughters think it's hilarious, though I don't show them the conversations I have with the scammers as they often contain adult material.
'My long-suffering wife puts up with it, she tolerates my antics. All my friends love it though - they talk about it all the time.'
A spokesperson for Facebook confirmed that Mr Walker had been suspended as some of his posts with the scammers breached their anti-bullying policy.

Businesswoman, 32, reveals how she was held as sex slave by a detective and his accomplice for TEN WEEKS

Russian businesswoman, 32, was held as sex slave by a detective and his accomplice for TEN WEEKS... but escaped when one of them fell for her

A 32-year-old businesswoman was held as a sex slave for more than ten weeks by a police detective and his accomplice, a court was told.
Ekaterina Kalivanova was repeatedly raped by her kidnappers who extorted cash from her and sought to force her to sell her car and flat.
They used a stun gun on her when she was violently taken hostage, badly scarring her face.

She was only released after she pretended to fall in love with the policeman's accomplice, gaining his trust, and creating an opportunity when she could call the police.
Policeman Dmitry Prischenko, in his 40s, and his sidekick Dmitry Sokolov, in his 30s, repeatedly raped her after holding her hostage in a flat at Mytishchi near Moscow, the court was told.
The pair charged with armed kidnapping, blackmail with intent to rob, and 'violent sexual actions' including rape.
A third man, Alexander Dotsenko, is accused of guarding her during her forced captivity.
'Sokolov hit me with a stun gun on my neck,' she said of the moment she was attacked after being tricked to get into Prischenko's police car.
'I managed to prevent the second attack with my hand but the stun gun hurt my hand, I felt the electric shock,' she said.

Militants rape, film abducted women in Akwa Ibom

Niger Delta militants in Akwa Ibom State, some days ago abducted several market women and whisked them to their hideouts in the creeks.
The victims were, at gunpoint, forced to strip while their captors sexually molested them and took pictures of their private part with their phones.
NDV reports that the women from different communities in the state and neighbouring Cross River State were returning from Nwaniba community market in Uruan local government when over 10 masked men ambushed the two speedboats conveying them.

A victim, Mrs. Christiana Sunday John, who spoke through an interpreter, said: “We were badly treated, our womanhood was abused. I joined the second speed boat going back home when midway into our journey; another speed boat from nowhere blocked us.
”To my greatest surprise, the boat was conveying over 10 hefty masked men, two of the armed masked men jumped into our boat and ordered the boat operator to take to one of their camps in the creeks.
“The two armed men robbed the 25 of us on board the speed boat before we got to their destination.
“At the camp, they forced us to pull-off, we were forced to pull everything to the pant and they asked at gunpoint to expose our private parts while they took several shots with their camera phones.
“Most of the women, who initially proved stubborn, went home with machete cuts. Two boats loaded with women returning from Nwaniba Market were attacked.
“After their evil operation, they removed the boat engines, living us stranded in their camp. They collected N70,000, which was all I had on me, now I do not know how to start all over again.”
Chairman, Nwaniba Village Council, Elder Samuel Jeo, told NDV that “the saddest thing was that mothers and wives of our men were forced to dance nude while they were being filmed”.

The abuse began in the bathroom where Johnson stood over the victim, filming her as he she performed fellatio on another man. Police will not say whether that other man was Booker.
As she knelt on the floor, others watched. At some stage, they left and the bathroom door was closed
The Clarion Ledger, which viewed the footage in full before it was removed, reports that Hudson then told the woman to open the door again to allow her in.
'Unlock the door real quick. You don’t have to stop just open the door. I need to get something,' she said.
After opening the door, the victim and the man she was performing the sex act on left the bathroom and moved to the living room to sit with the others.
The group then allegedly began harassing her, accusing her of performing oral sex for money and demanding that she do it again so that more people would tune in to their Facebook broadcast.
