A woman by the name Mrs. Maureen Okolie of Umudiudo Quarters, Ibusa in Delta State have told the Police how her hubby, Pastor Ike .O. Okolie was killed on their way to Asaba, the Delta State capital, Fresh Angle can report.
According to the Cleric’s wife, Mrs. Maureen Okolie, they were travelling in their private car to Asaba when three masked gunmen emerged from the bush along Achalla-Ibusa road shot her husband and immediately escaped without taking any of their possession.
The bereaved woman told the Police at Ibusa near Asaba that her husband died on the way to the hospital.
According to a statement by the Delta State Police Command, detectives on receipt of the woman’s complain, swung into action and arrested four suspects in connection with the crime and they are currently assisting homicide detectives at the CID Asaba in investigation, even as the corpse of the victim has been deposited in the morgue for autopsy.
In another development, alleged notorious armed robber, rapist and cultist identified as Oghale alias China has been found dead in an undisclosed hospital in Ozoro, Delta State.
The said Oghale, according to a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, Delta State Command, DSP. Celestina Kalu, was rushed to the hospital by two young unidentified men on a motorcycle with bullet wound.
The statement added that as soon as the two young men suspected to be members of Oghale’s gang dropped him, they zoomed off on the pretext that they were going to call his mother.
Report says as soon as Police got wind of the development, detectives were dispatched to the said hospital where they met Oghale already dead.
He was said to be wearing a T-Shirt with Viking Confraternity Cult group badge with one live cartridge found on his trouser. The death of Oghale alleged to be a wanted notorious armed robber, rapist and cultist whose gang has been terrorizing Ozoro caused jubilation in the community.
