Okorocha’s suit against Ihedioha, Araraume suffers setback

OWERRI —The suit filed at the Federal High Court, Owerri, by Governor Rochas Okorocha and his All Progressives Congress, APC, seeking the order of court to stop the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Emeka Ihedioha and Senator Ifeanyi Araraume from campaigning, has suffered a setback.Ruling on theex-partemotion filed by Okorocha’s team of lawyers, the presiding judge, Hon. Justice S. M. Shaibu, refused to grant the governor’s prayer to stop Ihedioha, Araraume and PDP from campaigning until the court decided who the actual candidate of the party was.The court, thereafter, adjourned the matter to March 26, 2015, for the hearing of the motion. Reacting to the court’s ruling, the deputy governorship candidate of the PDP, Chief Chuma Nnaji, described it as very thoughtful. “By instituting this matter, Chief Okorocha is already afraid of losing the April 11, 2015, governorship poll.”
