AWKA—THE wife of Anambra State governor, Mrs. Ebelechukwu Obiano, has urged Nigerians to show loveto the less-privileged in the society, especially during festivities.She spoke during her visit to prison facilities in Anambra to celebrate the Christmas with the inmates. She visited Onitsha, Aguata and Amawbia prisons, and Daughter of Charity Orphanage Home at Fegge, Onitsha.She told inmates that she came with a message of love, as Christmas was a celebration to be shared with loved ones.According to her, “as the wife of the governor, I am privileged to be the mother of all in the state and I see you as an important part of one big family. The fact that you are confined here does not mean that you cannot come out reformed and better than others and able to contribute to the service and progress of our state.”Present to welcome the governor’s wife was the Assistant Comptroller of Amawbia Prisons, Mr. Chris Akabueze, who commended her for the show of love and concern.She donated one cow to each prison, cooked rice and meat in packs, bags of rice, noodles, tubers of yam, beverages, soap and detergents, among others.
