The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has faulted the claim of the main
opposition party in the country, the All Progressives Party (APC) that PDP
has reneged on its pledge to restrict itself to issues-based campaigns
ahead of next year’s general elections.
National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Olisa Metuh, in a statement
yesterday also faulted the statement of the APC National Publicity Scribe,
Alhaji Lai Mohammed that the description of its presidential candidate,
General Muhammadu Buhari as “semi-literate jack boot” by the PDP
National Secretary, Professor Wale Oladipo, amounted to reneging on its
commitment.
Metuh, in his reaction, submitted that the description of General Buhari as
“semi-literate jackboot was complimentary compared with the many
